Right next to the red neon "CHELSEA" part of the sign. We were working on our book "ANGER" about Kenneth Anger. The room had black out curtains to keep the bold red from coming through. At first I thought the sign was fun, but it wore on me. It was depressing in the summer. You heard the constant hiss and buzz of the leaky neon. It blocked view to the right...you could lean out the window, but inevitably there would be a camera pointing at the sign. I took a lot of photos at the hotel. I wrote a lot. It was a *GENUINE EXPERIENCE* I am forever greatful I had it. <br />RIP Chelsea Hotel, RIP Bill Landismichelle cliffordhttp://www.sleazoidexpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7088113792698926514.post-39435895330943698822012-06-05T07:19:09.121-07:002012-06-05T07:19:09.121-07:00Hi Anon - Pearl Wick was before my time, at least ...Hi Anon - Pearl Wick was before my time, at least i dont recall ever seeing it - I have never seen a photo of it but if I ever find one i may do a post...T.E.
